Our Process
Sourcing & Preparation
We source fresh petals, leaves and bark from vetted farms across India. Botanicals like Damask rose, lavender, rosemary and kewra are cleaned, sorted and processed quickly to preserve volatiles and ensure consistent aroma and efficacy.
Distillation
The cleaned material is placed into a deg (distillation vessel) and heated using a traditional furnace (bhatti). As the heat causes water to boil, steam passes through the leaves, extracting the essential aromatic compounds. The steam then condenses into a liquid.
Separation
The condensed liquid (hydrosol) is collected in a receiver (bhapka). As the hydrosol cools, the essential oil, being less dense, forms a separate layer on top of the water. Then the essential oil is carefully separated from the water.
Refinement and packaging
The remaining water, enriched with the floral aroma, is rose water. It can be further filtered and stored for use.
